The finale of our 20th Anniversary season is the Thornton Wilder play Our Town, one of the most beloved plays in the American theatre cannon. One of the reasons we chose to close the season with this play is to celebrate the Philadelphia community. We've teamed up with Richard Frey, an Arden patron and local history expert, to present a unique opportunity to learn about the history of theatre in our town, Philadelphia.
This narrated trolley tour will begin and end at the Arden on five successive Saturdays during the run of Our Town. Riding on the old fashioned, 39-seat open air trolley, the tour will visit theatre sites all over the city and tell the rich theatrical history of the venues and actors that have called Philadelphia home. Learn about Edwin Forrest, Fanny Kemble, the Barrymores, Paul Robeson, Kevin Bacon, Will Smith and Hal Prince in this 75-minute tour.
Seating is limited and will sell out quickly!
