James and the Giant Peach
By DAVID WOOD from the novel by ROALD DAHL Directed by WHIT MacLAUGHLIN On the F. Otto Haas Stage December 10, 2008 - February 8, 2009
From the author of the Arden's smash hit The BFG, another of Roald Dahl's beloved books comes to vivid life on the Haas Stage. Young orphan James is sent to live with his horrible Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker. Life is hard until a mysterious stranger arrives. Suddenly, magic abounds and James finds an ENORMOUS peach growing in his yard containing talking insects – and his remarkable adventure begins! Best enjoyed by families with children ages 5 and older.

The first thing they said to us as we drove back home is 'when can we do that again?' The Arden Theatre is truly a family that we are so happy to be a part of." –Gloria and Dan "My daughter had a wonderful time... she really liked the show. In fact, she didn't stop talking about it the rest of the weekend! It was a great production and great night!" –Jacqui "I became childlike for a couple of hours and had a wonderful evening. The children were mesmerized with so many questions. Keep on educating and entertaining the world." –Paulette "I loved the play... I personally thought Aunt Sponge was funny." –Noah, age 7 "We've read the book, seen the movie and now we've been able to see this story come to life on your stage.
