Summer Theatre Camp

The Arden offers five sessions of action-packed summer theatre camp, including acting and design classes, culminating in a Camp Show for family and friends. Check out our two-week sessions with field trips! Space is limited, so register early.

Summer Camp Sessions: Grades 1 - 5

INTO THE WOODS (one-week camp)

Mon, June 25- Fri, June 29 • 9:30am - 4pm*
Grades 1 - 5
$400 (includes camp t-shirt)
*Add extended-day hours (8:30-9:30am and 4-5pm) for $100 per week

Explore the possibilities when you step deep into the forest. Take a magical journey while creating an original play set somewhere in the woods. Campers must have completed a year of Kindergarten.

SAILORS, PIRATES & TREASURES (one or two-week camp)

Grades 1 - 5
TWO-WEEK SESSION:
Mon, July 9 – Fri, July 20 (Weekdays only) • 9:30 - 4pm*
$655 (includes camp t-shirt)
ONE-WEEK OPTION:
Mon, July 16 – Fri, July 20 • 9:30am - 4pm*
$420 (includes camp t-shirt)

Travel into the depths past the seashore to explore marine life and pirate adventures. Create new stories about characters that live at sea. This camp includes one field trip day to the Independence Seaport Museum including “The Real Pirates of Philadelphia” walking tour. Campers must have completed a year of Kindergarten.

SUPER SLEUTHS & DETECTIVES (one-week camp)

Mon, July 23- Fri, July 27 • 9:30am - 4pm*
Grades 1 - 5
$400 (includes camp t-shirt)
*Add extended-day hours (8:30-9:30am and 4-5pm) for $100 per week

Search for the missing clues to crack the latest case! Discover heroes (and villains!) as you invent your own mystery. Campers must have completed a year of Kindergarten.

OH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO! (one-week camp)

Find inspiration in your favorite story books, imagining these far off places as you create a play. Campers must have completed a year of Kindergarten.

OUT OF THIS WORLD! (one or two-week camp)

Grades 1 - 5

Mon, Aug 6 – Fri, Aug 17 (Weekdays only) • 9:30 - 4pm*

Use your imagination to create a distant land with enchanting characters. These new settings and people will populate an original play set somewhere out of this world. This camp includes one field trip day to The Franklin Institute. Campers must have completed a year of Kindergarten.

ADVENTURE EXPLORERS (one or two-week camp)

Use creative play to become an explorer! Set your new play in the middle of a unique adventure. This camp includes one field trip day to The Please Touch Museum. Campers must have completed a year of Kindergarten.

EXTENDED DAY SERVICE
The Arden provides before and after care for children attending Summer Theatre Camp. Extended Day runs Monday-Friday, 8:30am-9:30am and 4pm-5pm. These hours will be supervised but there will not be camp programming. Extended Day services are $100 per session and cannot be pro-rated. Please call 215.922.1122 for more information.

Arden Kids' Crew provides fun, high quality interactive theatre classes that enliven imaginations, get kids working together, and instill a lifelong love of theatre. All classes are taught by professional teaching theatre artists with a penchant and talent for teaching kids! Arden Kids' Crew classes develop speaking, problem-solving, and listening skills while increasing confidence and self-esteem.
