Philadelphia, PA - The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia announced the 2007 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre nominations this morning at Arden Theatre Company. The Arden is pleased to have received the following nominations which honor three of our 2006/07 season's critically-acclaimed productions:

Arden Theatre Company kicks off its 20th Anniversary Season on September 13, 2007 with Stephen Sondheim's Assassins featuring an all-star lineup of actors, many who were nominated for Barrymore Awards today. The cast includes Jeffrey Coon, Ben Dibble, Scott Greer, Mary Martello, Christopher Patrick Mullen, Jay Pierce and James Sugg.

The Barrymore Awards are the Greater Philadelphia region's comprehensive theatre awards program, produced annually by the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. The award ceremony will take place on Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Crystal Tea Room in the Wannamaker Building in downtown Philadelphia.
